Sound Healing and Medicine Music Year Training with Kasper
One year. Twelve training days. A complete library of online classes.
A full-spectrum musical training designed for facilitators who want to work with sound, music, and voice in breathwork journeys, sound healing sessions, and medicine ceremonies.
This is not a program that teaches you to recite fixed pieces of music. It teaches you how to become a self-sufficient, autodidact musician. After this year, you will know how to learn any instrument, how to transfer musical skills across disciplines, and how to create sound experiences that are alive, responsive, and uniquely your own.
The program unfolds through 4 phases, each building your technical skills, artistic intuition, and musical independence.
This training gives you the skills to bring music, resonance, and sound into any facilitation setting in an authentic, grounded way.
Here’s some of the awesome stuff you can do after this year of training:
- enrich breathwork, meditation, or yoga sessions with live music
- facilitate sound bath or sound healing journeys
- make live music during your cacao / microdosing / medicine journeys
- guide mantra or singing circles
- create and record their own guided meditations and breathwork tracks
- make background music for live or online sessions
- write (and record) your own original songs
NOTE: This page is not yet a formal sign up process. It is an early invitation to help me understand whether there is enough interest to run this yearlong program in the way I envision it.
Interested? Please read through the full information with attention. At the bottom of the page you will find a short form.
Use it to let me know:
- whether you are interested
- how strong your interest is
- any questions or concerns you may have
Your responses will help me determine whether to confirm the program, adjust the structure, or even prepare a second group if the interest is larger than expected. Nothing you submit here is binding.
The Educational Philosophy: Learn Music Once, Apply It Everywhere
Everything in this program is designed so you:
- Learn how to learn music
- Understand how rhythmic, harmonic, and resonant principles transfer across instruments
- Develop the confidence to pick up any instrument and teach yourself
- Become self-directed rather than dependent on a teacher or technique
- Make your own soundscapes, your own rhythms, your own songs
You won’t be memorizing routines or copying other people’s style. Instead, you’ll learn how to explore, how to listen, how to experiment, and how to create.
This is the foundation of a lifetime of musical growth.
Why This Matters for Facilitators Today
AI can generate majestic soundscapes and polished electronic music with a single prompt, but those creations are empty. They have no breath, no presence, no resonance in the room.
The more digital and synthetic the world becomes, the more people crave the irreplaceable power of a human in the room, playing in real time, responding to the space, the breath, the emotions, and the needs of the moment.
This program trains you to become that musician.
Not a performer, but a resonant presence who can create living music that:
- Happens only once
Exists only for the people in the room - Cannot be copied or downloaded
- Has deep emotional and spiritual impact
- Works with the sensitivity and sacredness needed in this field
With simple instruments and intuitive techniques, anyone can create profound sound journeys. The art lies in attunement, awareness, and the sensitivity to shape the space through resonance.
This is what the world will increasingly need, and what this program prepares you for.
Who This Program Is For
No musical background required. No talent needed. No experience expected.
This training is specifically designed so that anyone can learn to create powerful sound and music for therapeutic spaces. You do not need prior musical training, and you do not need to believe you are musically talented.
In fact, this program is especially suitable if:
- You once wanted to learn an instrument but got discouraged
- You felt pressure from teachers or environments where it had to “sound right”
- You were told you didn’t have talent
- You were made to believe you weren’t musical
- You felt shut down creatively by judgment or perfectionism
- You’ve always felt a longing to express yourself musically but didn’t know how
If you can clap along to a song, tap your foot, or hum in the car, you have all the ability you need. The curriculum is built to unlock your natural musicality step by step, in a way that feels safe, supportive, and deeply empowering.
This is music without pressure.
Music without performance.
Music without comparison.
Music as presence, resonance, attunement, and healing.
It’s Not About the Music. It’s About the Space You Create.
The purpose of this training is not to turn you into a performer. The purpose is to help you become a more attuned, embodied facilitator who knows how to shape the energy of a room through sound.
Music is simply one of the most direct ways to influence:
- nervous system states
- emotional flow
- the depth of a breathwork journey
- the sensitivity of a psychedelic experience
- the sense of safety and containment in a therapeutic space
You won’t just learn techniques. You will learn to create a harmonic field that holds, guides, and supports the people you work with.
This work is about presence, resonance, listening, and intention.
With simple instruments and simple techniques, you can create experiences that are profoundly transformative.
A Training Filled with Play, Joy, and Communal Music-Making
Music is also one of the purest forms of human play, and this program honors that.
Throughout the year you will:
- make music together with your group
- play rhythms, chant, harmonize, improvise, groove
- discover new parts of your voice
- explore sound with zero pressure to “be good”
- experience the joy and connection that happens when people create music together
This communal element is one of the most healing forces of the entire program.
Psychedelic Supported Training Days
Several of the live training days will take place in a (optional) truffle ceremony setting. This will allow you to:
- undergo the effects of sound healing from the inside
- experience how resonance, voice, rhythm, and soundscapes shape your own inner journey
- practice facilitating in real time within the ceremonial space
- explore how your sound interacts with the field of a group in an altered state
- integrate your musical growth into your therapeutic presence
This experiential dimension helps you embody the material in a much deeper way.
Four Phases – A Complete Cycle
Phase 1: Resonance and Voice Opening
Instruments: Singing bowls, chimes, resonant tools, drones
Themes: Frequency, vibration, nervous system, energetic presence
You learn:
- How resonance affects states of consciousness
- How to use simple tools to open space and guide journeys
- Voice opening techniques that build confidence and expressiveness
- How to create your own resonant vocabulary instead of copying others
- The fundamentals that make more advanced music easier later
- Intuitive improvisation
This phase lays the foundation for all self-sufficient musical growth.
Phase 2: Rhythmic Development
Instruments: Frame drums, hand drums, shakers, small percussion
Themes: Timing, coordination, groove, multi-instrument fluency
You learn:
- Rhythms that teach you how rhythm works, not rhythms to memorize
- How to create your own grooves and patterns
- Techniques that strengthen timing, hand independence, and dynamic control
- How rhythm influences breath, trance, and group flow
- How to improvise and layer rhythm intuitively
- How skills learned on one percussive instrument transfer to all others
This phase develops a strong rhythmic backbone that supports every other musical skill.
Phase 3: Chords, Songs, and Mantra / Medicine Music
Instruments: Ukulele, guitar, or harmonium
Themes: Harmony, melody, voice, songwriting, group music-making
You learn:
- Core chords and progressions found in mantras and medicine songs
- How to learn a song you like
- How to write your own songs
- Strumming and accompaniment techniques
- Playing together as a small band
- Learning five to ten mantras and medicine songs purely as a vehicle for learning
- Integrating voice, rhythm, and harmony into a coherent musical presence
Again, the goal is not to memorize songs but to learn how to learn songs.
Phase 4: Music Production and Live Sound Creation
Tools: Loopy Pro, effects, small mixers, sampling tools
Themes: Electronic soundscapes, looping, ambient textures, live production
You learn:
- How to create your own soundscapes
- How to layer instruments, voice, and effects in real time
- Sampling nature sounds and building immersive atmospheres
- How to design journeys from a technical perspective
- Working with mixers, signal routing, microphones, and effects
- How to combine electronic and acoustic tools without losing the organic feel
- Looping techniques that support ceremonies without overwhelming them
This phase empowers you to design your own musical universe and bring it into live facilitation.
What Is Expected of You During This Year
Real transformation in musical presence, attunement, and resonance comes through small, consistent practice, not talent or previous skill. You do not need any musical background to join, but you will get the most out of this training if you engage with it steadily.
Here is what we ask of every participant:
1. Twenty minutes of daily practice
A small daily ritual is the key to unlocking your musical ability.
Twenty minutes per day is enough to create deep progress across the year. With consistent practice you will be amazed by how far your musicality, confidence, and ability to shape a room through resonance can develop.
“What if I can’t practice every day?”
Don’t worry! The structure is based on consistency, not perfection. Across a whole year there will be periods where you feel inspired and practice a lot, and other phases where life gets busy or motivation dips. This is completely normal. Aim for about ten-twenty minutes a day on average, but don’t be strict about it. You’re doing this for yourself.
2. A year of commitment – to your own joy in learning
Throughout the year there will be in person immersion days, where you will experience sound, resonance, and facilitation from the inside, and also practice guiding others. These live days are essential for integrating the skills you cultivate through your daily practice and online learning. They are experiential, experimental and playful. Less talk and lots and lots of application. Dates found below.
“What if I can’t make one of the immersion dates?”
Missing one of the days is not a problem. You will simply miss a very fun part of the experience. You can keep progressing by practicing with your instruments at home and following the online content. As a guideline, missing more than about 30 percent of the live sessions makes it harder to maintain momentum and may affect your sense of competence during certification. But this is your journey and you are free to move through it in the way that works for you.
Self Directed Learning and the Structure of the Online Curriculum
The majority of the online course content will be released in the first quarter of the year. This allows you to move through the training in a way that fits your needs and interests, rather than following a rigid, linear sequence.
Choose your own learning path
If you want to start learning rhythm right away, you can.
If you want to work on guitar or ukulele from day one, you can.
If you feel drawn to looping, soundscapes, or production, you can begin immediately.
Of your twenty minutes per day, you might spend ten minutes on an instrument and ten minutes on resonance work, or fifty percent on rhythm and fifty percent on voice. You decide how to shape your pathway. You will also get specific “homework” for each phase of the program.
Instrument learning modules
The online library includes “how to hack learning” modules for many instruments, including:
• ukulele
• guitar
• harmonium
• flutes
• kalimba
• different drums / percussion tools
• resonant tools and overtone instruments
Each module teaches you the most essential techniques for the functionality we use in this training. The goal is not to become a virtuoso. The goal is to learn quickly, musically, and intuitively in the context of facilitation, ceremony, and breathwork.
Theoretical and conceptual lectures
Alongside the practical modules, there are optional deep dive lectures on concepts from both science and spirituality, including:
• Helmholtz resonance
• 432 hertz
• solfeggio frequencies
• golden ratio based scales
• entrainment and brain waves
• Sanskrit mantras
• organ and chakra frequency theories
• myths and misconceptions in sound healing
• practical physics of resonance and vibration
These lessons are designed to enrich your understanding, spark curiosity, and give you a grounded sense of how sound and consciousness interact.
Learn at your own pace
Because the full content library becomes available early in the program, you can follow your interests and build your skillset in a way that feels natural and personal. This is a core element of the training: you learn to become an independent musician who knows how to teach yourself any instrument you fall in love with.
Immersion Days in LifeSkool, Houten
Throughout the year we gather for four three day immersion sessions at Lifeskool in Houten, a warm and creative studio space that supports deep learning, musical exploration, and ceremonial work. These immersions are where the online material, daily practice, and personal growth come together through hands on experience, group music making, and live facilitation.
Daily Schedule
Wednesday09:00 to 17:00
Lunch included
Thursday09:00 to 21:00
Lunch and dinner included
The extended Thursday session includes exclusive access to the Handpan Shop in Driebergen, where you can explore an extraordinary collection of handpans, tongue drums, and rare sound healing instruments. This is a unique opportunity to try many different instruments.

Immersion Dates for 2026
- 18 to 20 March
- 27 to 29 May
- 14 to 16 October
- 9 to 11 December
Each immersion builds on your growing skillset, with time dedicated to resonance work, rhythmic development, chord instruments, voice, looping, sound design, and experiential practice. These days are designed to be immersive, experiential, and highly practical.
Accommodation and Travel
This program is intentionally not structured as a retreat, which keeps the overall costs accessible and gives you the freedom to choose how you want to stay.
Students typically choose one of three options:
• commuting to and from Houten each day (for locals)
• booking a nearby hotel such as Van der Valk Houten • sharing an Airbnb with other participants for a more communal experience
This flexible structure lets everyone tailor the immersion days to their own budget and lifestyle.
Tuition
The investment for the full year program is:
€5000 (ex VAT) for a single payment
or
4 payments of €1300 (ex VAT)
This includes:
• all three day immersions
• access to the full online course library
• all meals described above
• access to the instrument exploration evenings in the Handpan Shop
• ongoing support throughout the year
Next to course tuition, take the following instrument investments into account:
During the immersion days you can explore a wide range of beautiful instruments, so you will quickly feel which ones resonate with you. But there is no need to own all of these instruments.
For home practice you only need basic, affordable tools, and I will teach you exactly how to recognize a good instrument at a great price, whether new or second hand.
A simple starter setup looks like this:
Phase 1: Singing bowl
Investment: €50 to €100
Phase 2: A simple drum such as a shaman drum or djembe
Investment: €50 to €100
Phase 3: Guitar, ukulele, or harmonium
A piano or keyboard can replace the harmonium if you already have one
Ukulele or guitar starts around €50
Phase 4: Microphone, cable, and a basic audio interface
Investment: €100 to €150
It’s good to take these investments into account. If you can not make these investments, you can perhaps borrow something from a friend, and if needed we will also have instruments available that you can borrow.
You can go as deep as you want with gear, but a small budget setup is more than enough to complete the entire training.
